Aniruddha Vaidya & Associates (AVA architects) is mentored by architects Aniruddha and Radhika Vaidya with their UK educated son Ajay who strengthens the team. Together they have worked on local area plans, township plans, low cost housing and senior citizen housing projects and public buildings. As principals of the firm Aniruddha and Radhika have been practicing architecture since 1979. Additionally, Radhika is also registered with the Institute of Town Planners, India since 1989. Ajay is a member of the Institute of Urban Designers, India.
AVA architects as a Brand name for several decades and over 400 projects, is an Indian Multi- disciplinary design company with a primary focus on Architecture, Design and Planning. AVA architects gained momentum with its award- winning project Blue Ridge Township. It was named as the best township of India in 2015 by NDTV India. The designs of the studio have been published in national and international magazines and architectural journals and newspapers such as Architecture + Design magazine, A & I Digest series 10, Times of India, Indian Express, etc.
As pioneers in senior citizen housing in India AVA architects has designed communities for seniors that have created a new lifestyle and improved the health and happiness of seniors. After AVA's first project named "Athashri' in 2000 was a success the firm has consistently improved their designs for a better community and has designed numerous projects in the senior citizen housing sector.
The firm started as a small partnership design firm in 1983 by the Company Founders Aniruddha and Radhika Vaidya. With the changing economic liberalization, and part of the expansion plan, Aniruddha Vaidya & Associates came into being in 1983 shortened to be addressed as AVA since 2010.
AVA logo is inspired from the idea of the basic building blocks of any design, the point, line and plane. For an onlooker, all the letters of the logo AVA are perceived as balanced. The logo letters in blue representing honesty and integrity are enclosed in a simple solid rectangle as is associated with its functioning as a corporate entity.
